A wonderful vintage wooden jigsaw made by Raphael Tuck entitled'At Home in the Shetlands' by Lillian Cheviot (1876 - 1936). She was an English artist who exhibited at the Royal Academy specialising in painting animals. Interestingly the label on the box has her name misspelt as'Ceriot'. The puzzle itself dates to the early 1900's. The Jigsaw is made from plywood finely cut into 300 push fit pieces including many whimsies.
Its a beautiful puzzle to complete. The puzzle is in good condition with no missing pieces although one piece was replaced some time ago (see 4th photo). The box is in very nice condition given the age of the puzzle.
